2026 Rotorua Pickleball Doubles Tournament
This is our annual doubles tournament for Mens, Ladies, and Mixed (Divisions: Fri • 6O+, Sat • DUPR <3.5, and Sun • Open) Registrations now open!
About this event
Come and join in our Annual Doubles Tournament. Once again we will have a 3.5 and under division to cater to developing players.
All pool games, quarterfinals and semifinals will be to 15, win by 2, with the finals and play-off for 3rd & 4th best of three games to 11, win by 2. We will also be holding a Plate Round Robin for the bottom 4 teams for each division, so you will get more games even if you don't get through to the medal brackets.
Please note that the entry fee is $50 per player for the first division entered, and $25 for additional divisions, plus the $5 per division Swish fee.
Games will be un-timed, and all results will be uploaded to DUPR.
All players must have a DUPR account, and will ideally also have a Swish Sports App account linked to their DUPR account.
The 3.5 and under division is open only to players with an individual DUPR below 4.1 and a combined partner DUPR of 7.0 or below at the time of registering for the tournament - no exceptions.
The Super divisions are open to players who turn 60 years before 31 December 2026.
Practice times and briefing times are provisional at this stage and will be confirmed closer to the event.
Each day will involve only one of the 3 divisions: - Friday 16th October - Super Mens, Womens and Mixed - Saturday 17th October - Under 3.5 Mens, Womens and Mixed - Sunday 18th October - Open Mens, Womens, and Mixed
Registration Desk opens from 7:15am each morning
Practice times: 7:15am to 8:15am each day, 4pm to 6pm Friday and Saturday evenings
Player Briefings – 8:15am each day, with the Mens and Women’s Doubles starting at 8:30am and the Mixed starting when the Mens and Women’s are completed, which should be around 12:30pm. All games are expected to be completed by around 4:30pm each day.
Medal presentations will be made once the finals are completed in each division.
The Kitchen will be open from 9:30 to 3:30 selling light snacks, hot and cold drinks, cakes, toasted sandwiches, etc

Format
Round robin pool play followed by knockout finals in each division. Games to 11, win by 2.
Who can play
Open to club members and visiting players from affiliated clubs.
